Customer request
A customer asks a support question through a connected channel.
APPSERA LTD is building AI customer support agents for online retailers and service businesses. Claude provides the language-understanding and reasoning layer, while APPSERA controls business context, permissions, tools and human escalation.
Product architecture
The agent is designed so that reasoning and conversation are separated from business permissions and sensitive actions.
A customer asks a support question through a connected channel.
Claude interprets intent, reasons over approved context and prepares the response or next step.
Business rules, identity, permissions and tool access determine what can actually happen.
Routine cases can be answered; exceptions and sensitive actions are sent to a person.
Live prototype
This demo sends your question to Claude through APPSERA's server-side API endpoint. It uses fictional store and order data only—no real customer information.

The workflow
Claude identifies what the customer is asking and the context required to respond.
The product supplies current business information instead of asking the model to guess.
Claude produces a grounded response or prepares the next step for a controlled tool workflow.
Ambiguous, sensitive or permission-heavy requests are routed to a human rather than silently automated.
Built with Claude
Claude: conversation understanding, reasoning over supplied business context, response generation, classification and request routing.
APPSERA: authentication, customer identity, permissions, business rules, external integrations, auditability, rate limits and human escalation.
This separation lets us use Claude for the parts where language and reasoning matter while keeping business authority in deterministic application controls.
The public demo uses simulated data. It does not access a real retailer, customer account, payment system or production order database.
October 2026 product update
APPSERA’s product prototype now includes a server-side Claude Messages API integration for the customer-support demo, keeping the Anthropic API credential out of browser code.
The prototype is intentionally narrow: simulated business context, short responses, rate limiting and explicit human escalation when information is unavailable.
Design principles
Use business-provided context and current system data rather than unsupported assumptions.
Separate understanding a request from being authorised to perform an action.
Make escalation an intentional capability for exceptions, ambiguity and sensitive requests.
